Intellectual Property Section

The Intellectual Property Section

The aim of the Section is to initiate discussion and to turn it into conferences, publications and trainings on the role of the intellectual property in the activity of body corporates. Research activities within this Section focus on two key tasks. The first of them is to provide the participants of seminars and conferences with deep and complex knowledge on legal and economic regulations pertaining to the protection of intellectual property. The second aim of the Section is to promote changes in the existing legislation by publishing articles, expert opinions and by cooperating with other entities.

Within the Section there is also a forum for the discussion for dissenters fighting with common notions – IP&Media Lab – which is open for lawyers and the representatives of new technologies, business, media and art. This dynamic sphere is ready to be filled with ideas, discussions, meetings and projects that have not yet been realised. We would like to focus on the technical revolution that is currently taking place. We aim at describing its origin, development and consequences for the social development, without limiting ourselves to legal or economic focus.

Mr Marcin Balicki is the Secretary of this Section.
