Seminar entitled "The rule of law has many faces - the rule of law over me".

We are pleased to announce that on 6th October 2016 at 16.30 in the Allerhand Institute (pl. Sikorskiego 2/7) the interdisciplinary discussion on the concept of RULE OF LAW, its definition and perception in Poland and in the world, and its importance for economic development and civic awareness of Polish society, will take place.


Among the invited guests speakers include:

  • Mikołaj Barczentewicz, Professor of constitutional law at Oxford University (participation through video conference,
  • Sir Jeffrey Jowell, Professor of the constitutional law at the University College London, founder of Bingham Centre for the Rule of Law (London), research center monitoring the rule of law in the world (participation through video conference),
  • Alexis Meusburger from Michigan State Univeristy, coordinator of Allerhand Advocacy Project in USA,
  • Wojciech Rogowski, vice president of Allerhand Instytut, adjunct at the Warsaw School of Economics, Polish National Bank
  • Jacek Sokołowski, Director of the Center for Quantitative Research in Political Science, Jagiellonian University,
  • Piotr Tuleja, judge of Constitutional Tribunal, and Professor of constitutional law at Jagiellonian University.
