5th Allerhand Dispute Resolution, Mediation and Arbitration Summit

We are pleased to invite you to the 5th Allerhand Dispute Resolution, Mediation and Arbitration Summit, which will take place on 7 June 2018 in Cracow. This year's edition of the event, organised by Allerhand Institute in cooperation with Cracow Bar Association, will be carried out in English with participation of many international experts.

Undoubtedly, Alternative Dispute Resolution is a subject with growing popularity on national and international forum which corresponds with growing number of law practicioners interested in this area.

This year's edition aims to comprehensively assess the condition of ADR practices on CEE markets and to identify the direction of the development of this field. Invited speakers - renowned experts and practicioners of mediation and arbitration from such countries as Austria, Germany, Russia, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Czech Republic and Poland, would present the key and the most important issues arising in connection with ADR as well as trends in the arbitration and the mediation.

Informal Company Law Expert Group meeting

4th October 2017

Today, on 4th October 2017, Arkadiusz Radwan, Allerhand’s President, is in Brussels attending a meeting of Informal Company Law Expert Group (ICLEG) - a high level advisory body in the field of company law and corporate governance affiliated with the European Commission. 
The Group consisting of 14 top EU experts was established to work out proposals on legislative framework to facilitate i.a. Corporate mobility in the EU, digitalisation of company law and enhanced management of corporate groups.

The first session of the DG JUST multistakeholder expert group to support the application of the General Data Protection Regulation

We are pleased to announce that on 19th October 2017, Paweł Litwiński, member of the Allerhands’s Intellectual Property Section, is going to attend in Brussels the first session of multistakeholder expert group to support the application of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The multistakeholder group was established to assist the Commission in identifying the potential challenges in the application of the GDPR from the perspective of different stakeholders, and advising the Commission on how to address them. It shall also provide the Commission with advice to achieve an appropriate level of awareness about the new legislation among different stakeholders, including business and citizens. Finally, the group shall provide the Commission with advice and expertise in relation to the preparation of delegated acts and, where appropriate and necessary, the early preparation of implementing acts to be adopted under the GDPR, before submission to the committee in accordance with regulation (EU) n° 182/2011also in the light of relevant studies.

Dr Krzysztof Grabowski appointed to be a member of Commission Expert Group on Technical Aspects of Corporate Governance Processes (CG-TECH)

We are pleased to announce that dr Krzysztof  Grabowski, member of the Academic Society of the Allerhand  Institute, was appointed to be an independent member of Commission Expert Group on Technical Aspects of Corporate Governance Processes (CG-TECH).

Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers (DG JUST) has recently established a CG-TECH expert group to assist the Commission with its work on technical aspects of corporate governance, including the use of modern information and communication technologies in corporate governance. The group is composed of 12 highly qualified members either representing various groups of stakeholders, such as investors, issuers and intermediaries or applying as independent experts. The members will operate over a two-year mandate.

This is a second appointment from among Allerhand’s affiliates to a high level European body active in the field of company law and corporate governance after Arkadiusz Radwan’s  appointment to ICLEG (Informal Company Law Expert Group) back in 2014.
